Mid-October, a new track was welcomed in the vast world that is electronica. This new track is from Yovoh, a french producer that is able to bring us in his universe through piano notes as well as synthetic melodies. “Iris” brings together perfectly what piano solos and synthesizers have best to offer.

“Iris” has been released with an impressive music video. The masterpiece has been directed by Raphaël Bluzet; it is composed of more than 1,400 handmade digital drawings, and animated just like a cartoon : frame by frame. This way, drawing after drawing, not only do we admire the amount of work that has been put in the music video, but also the story that it tells.

The music video starts with the metaphor : “The hand is the mirror to the soul”. A metaphor that may seem odd at first but that has a certain depth. Throughout the video, we are guided through others’ lives, or rather their hands’, from the birth of a child to the dawn of their life. Those hands touch and interlace with each other, they start moving faster as people get to work. All of these hands’ actions follow the rhythm of a fast-paced melody played on the piano; a melody that little by little fades away to let electronic and synthetic sounds take its place.

And if you were wondering, just like us, how the music video was made, your questions have been answered in the following making of.
