Today we dive into the world of nine artists whose music largely echoes their culture or that of their country. While some tracks and song have been composed and shaped with folklore or traditional instruments, for some others, it is through the use of their mother tongue that they honor their culture and heritage.

So let’s start by listening to Ikram Bouloum’s latest single which happens to be the first ever release of MANS O’s label ; she highlights her Moroccan origins in this track and intertwines them with bits of experimental pop music. Then, we listen to Noga Erez’s “Fire Kites” ; her works have always told more or less explicitly her life in Israel and the difficulties of living there as a woman. Then, Angela Mona’s single “Loveflip” showcases on a rock inspired instrumental the Armenian youth’s life conditions and consequences on them ; Viken Arman’s music is also inspired by Armenia, but it is highlighted through his impressive work on electronic soundscape. To be listened to as much as you want !
