When the days get longer and warmer, our music tastes change. Listeners either crave music that make you want to relax on the beach or dance under the setting sun, and in both cases they crave music that exudes novelty. Spring has arrived, and so did the duo Pausé. With such a well depicted audio-visual universe and progressive & synthetic music where electric guitars and electronic machines meet, Pausé is ready to make us discover their world, and they did so in the most inventive of ways. The duo indeed makes us board their spaceship to then take off and breeze through the vast lands of electro-chill music. So let’s listen to the aptly named track “Discovery” ; with this first single the duo is ready to conquer !
“Alright there, we have a universe between us”

“Discovery” starts off smoothly, letting guitar notes and vocals intertwine. Then, a female voice makes us feel like we are being guided through space, and that the final destination that awaits us consists of a new universe. When the drop arrives, an almost imperceptible soft kick gradually transforms into a catchy rhythm ; “Discovery” is a very progressive track and each variation makes us feel different emotions and go through different ambiances.

The particularity of this live session is that it was shot in 360 ° in a very amateur set-up, yet it looks very professional. Behind this decor almost exclusively digitally rendered, the duo recorded the music video on their iPhone, and they used green bed sheets as a makeshift green screen. The result is pretty seamless ; we can’t wait to see what the duo will come up with next !
