Maud Geffray, Krampf, Bamao Yendé, ascendant vierge, Voiron, Von Bikrav… are some of these names familiar to you ? Well, they all have one thing in common : NADSAT, a label that not only represents them and develops their artistic projects, but also brings them together on a 15-track compilation that got released on March 5th. This compilation both shows new trends in the French electronic music scene – who does not have in mind the lyrical flights of Mathilde Fernandez, singer of the duo of ascendant vierge ? – and also allows those who run NADSAT to show the powerful extent of their roster. Discover the compilation below !

NADSAT gathers both members of the booking agency AMS Booking and of the label Because Music. If they regularly surprise their audience with their latest releases, they also affirm their artistic vision that is both niche and popular with the release of this compilation. And their vision comes from an observation that they already widely shared in the media : “For ten years, a new audience has emerged on the dancefloors: a melting pot, more feminine, more suburban, more stylish”, they said a few months ago.

And they proved it. The women are largely represented in this compilation, whether they are in front of or behind the decks. Moreover, most of the artists that are featured on this compilation are around 25-30 years old, which is much younger than some pioneers of the scene like Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier or Nina Kraviz, just to name a few. The NADSAT compilation allows us not only to discover a label, but also to see what’s gonna be trending next in the French underground rave scene, on top of highlighting artists of various origins and cultural influences.

Similar to Nadsat : We have talked with Ghost Of The Shelf, a French label that challenges its artists to get out of their comfort zone.

Among our favorite tracks, there is “Discoteca” by ascendant vierge and “Circa 2020” by Paul Seul. However, our favorite one might well be PLUR – for Peace Love Unity Respect, produced by Maud Geffray (half of the duo Scratch Massive) and Krampf, known in particular for his superb music & video game collaboration with Oklou. Both soothing and made to dance to, the musical signatures of both producers can be heard distinctly, while blending together wonderfully. The track and the music video are to be discovered below !

And if you want to discover more about NADSAT, know that the label promotes its artists in various ways, starting with their recent series of podcasts “NADCAST” which showcases mixes that they have curated themselves. The latest one that has been released is that of Von Bikrav, member of the Casual Gabberz family that is widely represented within the label. Discover it below !

NADSAT is to be found on all streaming platforms as well as on social media (Instagram).
