The music industry, a world that seems quite inaccessible for a good number of artists that are just starting out in their careers. You will often hear that it is difficult to contact such label, such publisher, such booker or even manager to be able to promote your music correctly and take your career to the next level. While many platforms such as SubmitHub or MusoSoup try to break down the barrier that exists between media and artists, others like RekYou try to do so for French recording studios ; The Artist’s Corner tries to make it easier for artists and music professionals to connect and start working together, in a way that is inherently different from what Groover does. Designed in the same way many platforms would connect businesses with expert freelancers, The Artist’s Corner aims to be a conversation starter for the numerous members of the music industry, and so far, more than 200 service providers are already pre-registered on the site !

It is quite easy to get in touch with professionals on the platform. All you have to do is to set up an account on the website (as an artist or as a service provider) by filling out the contact form at the bottom of the web page, wait for your profile to be validated, and then browse the website in order to find the right person to help you out with your career. Several services are offered on the website, ranging from coaching sessions with an expert to searching for a sound engineer to mix and master your productions correctly. Lawyers are also available for proofreading contracts and managing disputes, experts at grant applications can help out and work with artists that are seeking for some, and recording studios can help you out booking a session in their studios. With such a variety of services available and provided on the platform, we cannot wait for the official launch of the platform on June 1 to see new artists flourish within the music industry !

Press release : The Artist’s Corner’s marketplace launch :

THE ARTIST’S CORNER
The 1st 360° marketplace dedicated to the music industry

Founded by Margaux Chouraqui and Isadora Chappuis, The Artist’s Corner is the 1st marketplace dedicated to the music industry. THE ARTIST’S CORNER is a community that allows artists and professionals to find the people they need to launch and develop their projects.

For this to happen, the artists will get to choose from 3 categories :

Coaching & training : which allows access to hours of coaching and/or one-off training sessions with various professionals (managers, bookers, PR agents, studio directors…)
Services : which allows you to develop your artistic project and work with film directors, A&Rs, graphic designers, cameramen, sound engineers, managers, community managers, photographers, lawyers…
Rehearsal and recording studios : which allows you to book recording, mixing and/or mastering sessions with studios.

Taking into consideration the current health crisis, videoconferences are widely accepted to facilitate conversations.

Subscribing to the website is free but a 10% commission will be charged on transactions. To this is added 2 euros excluding tax for service charges for the customer as well as charges applicable to providers by the payroll manager, Mangopay.

Providers create their profiles by entering their information, their curriculum, their achievements and display their fees. The artists will contact the professionals directly and send a summary of their project. Thereafter, the professional will be free to accept or refuse their proposals for collaboration.
