Soon we will not be able to spend our lives without electronic devices. There is no doubt about it: from one day to the next, our conversations became phone calls, and Instagram pictures suddenly were the new way to catch up on our friends’ lives. It is now undeniable that the Internet is now a part of our everyday life. Major evolutions are coming our way, as we are somewhat obliged to use the Internet to interact with each other. But what about love ? We all know of Tinder and other dating apps… but what will it be like in 5, 10 years ?

Just like in the movie “Her”, love, in Fhin’s latest single “Love Attack”, is inherently digital. Fhin shows us, through an uncanny dialogue throughout this track, what he believes to be the future of love. The dialogue takes place between an algorithm and a “real” human being, so to speak. A never-before-heard conversation unveils right before our eyes. The dialog is highlighted by a semi-electronic, semi-organic melody, and mimics metaphorically the relationship. Several influences can be found in this track: it is easy to hear LA Priest’s groove, as well as the soothing contemplations of  James Blake. Another chef d’oeuvre made in Fhin.

“Love Attack” follows the release of another very personal and intimate single, “Tombé du Sommeil” (Falling out of Sleep, if we were to translate it), a track on which we hear Fhin singing in French for the very first time ! Tombé du Sommeil will not appear on his album “Trauma” but you can find it on Youtube and appreciate all of its beauty.

“Love Attack”, however, is to be found on all streaming platforms and you can find it on our very own SoundCloud and Spotify playlists.
