The French cultural pillar & festival Les Francofolies de La Rochelle comes back with a fresh selection of artists to support throughout the year ! They, again, will support more than 20 artists who are both emerging and currently trending on the French-speaking scene. After a year heavily marked by a pandemic that brought festivals, concert halls and clubs around the world to a standstill, the Francofolies decided to keep going and to provide once again a 360° support program that has been going on since 1998 : Le Chantier des Francos. This “artist accelerator” supports artists in PR but also with their live performances ; thanks to strong partnerships within the French music industry, the Francofolies once again uses its strike force and adapts to an exceptional health crisis. Among all of the artists who have supplied us with the freshest French music there is, the French accelerator had to select only a few of them. Amongst them, you will find artists such as the vintage-rock duo Bandit Bandit, the French pop sensation Bonnie Banane, the sensitive rapper Fils Cara or the excellent November Ultra who charmed us since her very first release ! A colorful selection that highlights the future of an ever-flourishing scene.

After 2020, a year heavily impacted by the health crisis linked to COVID-19, the Chantier des Francos decided to keep going, to adapt and to show agility. We support the music industry and its artists by extending our support provided to the artists selected in 2020 while building a selection for 2021. We have also thoughtfully developed, in consultation with all the stakeholders (artists, entourage, talent scouts, contributors …), the outlines of a project that is both adapted to the current situation and to its sector.
Throughout 2021, we will, with belief and care, experiment with new projects, adapt our courses, diversify our tools and build a tailor-made, original and unique project. The Chantier des Francos is a recognized accelerator, a popular trusted voice. In 2021, we will continue to maneuver with its members.
