2021 has been a year where a lot of compilations were released ! What better way for a label, an artist or an artistic director than to release a compilation to show the extent of their roster, their artistic vision or a specific musical genre anyway ? While we all remember the ambient compilations of the Tigersushi label, the avant-garde pop compilations of Kitsuné or the excellent compilation “Music for Containment” of Molécule’s label, some indie labels that are sometimes specialized in a very specific music genre use them to prove their extraordinary artistic direction.
It is the case for the Paris-based indie label Lowless, a record label specialized in the genres of ambient, liquid and deep techno. In the tracklist of the collective’s fourth compilation, you’ll get to hear deeply relaxing and hypnotizing tracks, highlighting both their original roster as well as some new artists who come & add their musical signature to that of an already rich and sharp one.
